The week of 18th May

This Sunday, 18 May 3.00pm Dorset Gardens hosts the Circuit Together and Easter Offering Service. Each year, the Methodist Church holds an Easter Offering dedication service, a tradition that dates back to 1883 and money raised will go to the World Mission Fund of the Methodist Church in Great Britain for work in our Partner Churches around the world. This year the theme is ‘Education for All, Hope for All’ and offers us a moment to consider how education transforms lives and communities, opening God’s promise of hope and fullness of life for all people- so we have some good material from which to make a start. Each church to bring their Easter Offering envelopes for a blessing. Service format will be ’Café Style’ with the obligatory cakes, teas and coffees and more….

The week of 11th May

Many of you will know we have had to replace our boiler recently and now the boilers at the front of the church need replacing too. On Sunday 11th May we invite you to join us for lunch and an opportunity to contribute towards these expenses, we have set ourselves a target of £25k and already have received 3k in donations and more….

The week of 27th April

The traditional Good Friday walk was perfect in every way. We walked and talked, enjoyed our picnics (some even brought a warm shepherds pie) and sat in the beautiful sunshine. We saw camels, yes camels on our journey! We celebrated Lai’s birthday and cheered Ruth and Ibs as they also celebrated their Pearl wedding anniversary. All rounded off with well earned refreshments in the pub. So much to be thankful for! and more….
