The week of 21st & 28th December and 4th January Newsletter

As we come to the end of another year, we want to pause and say a heartfelt thank you to our HMC community for your incredible support, involvement, and generosity throughout the year.
It has been a year full of joy, fellowship, and shared moments. From our much-loved Lunch Clubs, Monday Guild, and Thursday Communion, to our Street Party, house group meetings, and the many church gatherings that have brought us together — each has been a reminder of the strength and warmth of our community. We have also been blessed through our involvement in Martlets concerts and the powerful and uplifting Voices of Power Black History event, which many of you supported and attended.
We are deeply grateful to all the groups and organisations who are part of our wider church family and who hire and share our spaces — thank you for bringing life, connection, and purpose into the building throughout the year.
A very special thank you goes to our wonderful volunteers. Your time, energy, care, and quiet faithfulness make so much possible, often behind the scenes, and we are truly thankful for all that you do.
As we look ahead to the new year, we do so with gratitude for what has been and with joyful anticipation for the fellowship, events, worship, and shared life that lie ahead. We look forward to continuing to grow together in love, service, and community.
With every blessing, we wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Have a Seat on the Friendship Bench! Over the past few months, many of you have spotted (and enjoyed!) our Friendship Bench. We’ve already captured some wonderful moments and now we’d love to take it a step further! Sandy has had a lovely idea: In excited anticipation of the return of Revd Sue Jacobs to preach in February— If people take a moment to snap a picture of themselves (or with others) sitting on the Friendship Bench, and we collect enough photos, we could create a friendship collage to be shown on the screen when Sue is preaching. What a celebration that would be — a tapestry of faces and moments that remind us of the gift of community. So let’s get snapping! and more….
