We aim to be a community that:

  • is open, inclusive, diverse and welcoming.

At the heart of the Methodist tradition is that God, however described or understood, values and welcomes all people equally. Our model is Jesus of Nazareth, a man who would sit and eat and talk with anyone who wanted his company. So people regarded as outcasts, misfits, untouchables, religious and non religious, those with a similar faith tradition and those with different traditions, all would find welcome in his company. And this welcome and inclusion is, we believe, how the church should be today.

  • seeks God guided by the life and teachings of Jesus.

We are affiliated to the Progressive Christian Network in the UK.

  • finds grace in the search for understanding

  • knows that the way we behave towards one another is the fullest expression of what we believe. Our Community includes those who worship with us on Sundays and those with whom we have contact in the many activities that take place during the week on our premises. For further information on those activities and groups go to our Community page.
