Saul owed his conversion neither to true love, nor to true faith, nor to any other truth. It was solely his hatred of Christians that set him upon the road to Damascus, and to that decisive experience which was to decide the whole course of his live. He was brought to this experience by following with conviction the course in which he was most completely mistaken.
