Competition to create an ‘Angel of Brighton & Hove’ is now open

The ‘Angel’ Open Day at Brighton Museum, organised by the B&H Interfaith Contact Group, took place on Sat 10 Feb and was a roaring success with over 1200 visitors to the museum.  There was a range of workshops for adults and children including poetry and storytelling, ‘angelic’ music making, printing and drawing.  The COMPETITION to create an Angel for our City is now open and runs until September.  Full details of the competition and how to submit your entry can be found at

There will be an interim exhibition of entries in the Jubilee Library June 4th – 10th (apart from Friday 8th when the library will be closed all day) and a final exhibition of winning entries November 5th – 10th,  also in the Jubilee Library.

If you would like to hone your poetry writing skills before submitting a poem for the competition, a FREE poetry workshop with award winning poet, Dean Atta, will take place at the Jubilee Library on Friday 27 July 12 – 1.30pm.  Please click on the link below to see a poster with full details about this event.
