It's our birthday! We are celebrating 115 years of worship, mission and outreach at Portland Road, Hove.
The main celebrations are centred on the week 5th to 12th June but events will be continuing through the year.
The Stone Laying ceremony was in June 1896 and the Opening was in December so it's a year of thanksgiving for the vision of those Victorian Methodists who well and truly "Caught the Flame"

May 1st lead by Rev Rob Hufton (Minister 1996 to 2002)
May 15th lead by Rev Colin Smith (Minister 1991 to 1996)
June 5th lead by Mr Alan Pratt (“Born and brought up at Hove”)
This service will be followed by lunch with African and English food. Everyone is welcome.
June 12th Pentecost Service lead by Rev Keith Garner (Superintendent / CEO of Wesley Mission Sydney, Australia)
Street Party!!
The service on June 12th will be followed by a Street Party style event to which old members and friends are welcome. There will be a BBQ and the Hangleton Brass Band will come along to provide the entertainment.
Things have changed at Hove over the years but as you see from our slogan "115 Faith, Hope, Alive" that "New Life Still Flows" to quote the title of our Centenary book written by Peter Nurcombe and Colin Smith.
