Beginning on the 21st September, we will begin an exciting spiritual journey together - the whole Church. It is based around the book "The Purpose Driven Life" which will be provided for every member of the church. During the six weeks, everything we do will have some grounding in the teaching and discussion found in the course, including our house groups, fellowships, bible studies, prayer groups, junior church and of course Sunday worship.
Part of the wonder of the course is that the whole church is engaged with a spiritual journey together, and testimonies from churches in the UK that have done the course suggest that it will be a time of coming together and revitalisation and rejuvenation of the work of the church and importantly our relationship with God in Jusus.
The course is, "designed around four vital habits that everyone needs for spiritual growth: weekly workship attendance, daily quiet time, weekly group Bible study and a weekly scripture memory verse." And all of this is undergirded by prayer, which is one of the priorities of the Methodist Church. So please put the dates in your diary, and please pray for the leaders and our Minister as they prepare for this wonderful journey of spiritual growth and development.
